Choosing the Right Mini Fridge
Compact Refrigerators, sometimes called mini fridges, are useful for adding additional cold storage without having to replace a refrigerator with a larger one. They are also useful for storage of drinks and snacks in family rooms, garages or close to wherever they are needed. Compact refrigerators can serve as a beverage center but differ in that their space is not optimized for drink storage. The shelves may be set farther apart to accommodate various items besides cans or bottles and they may also have a tiny freezer section.
Typically a compact refrigerator is smaller than an under counter model, although that isn't always the case. They tend to be less expensive than a beverage center but are a good alternative choice. One thing you are unlikely to find is a compact refrigerator with a glass door like those on beverage centers.
The manufacturer list below reflects those companies known to produce mini style refrigerators at the time of writing or recent update.
